I spoke too soon about a cover reveal and release date in my last post. Although the revisions I’m currently making to Book 2 aren’t extensive, they have required a little more time than planned. The plot isn’t changing, but I’m adding some details and tightening some areas. At this point in the process, any changes warrant care to ensure that the story isn’t compromised and that the timeline still makes sense. So, it will still be published this fall, just a little later—probably late October or early November. Check back here or on my Facebook author page for updates on that and for a cover reveal coming soon!
This year I’m planning to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November, and I’m kind of excited about it. I’ll be working on Book 3, which I’ve plotted … mostly. This isn’t my first attempt at NaNo, and I don’t always “win,” but whether or not I reach the 50,000-word goal isn’t as important to me as making an effort to write every day or almost every day. And it’s fun and motivational to know thousands of other writers are pounding out those words right along with you. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
Believe it or not, I still have a touch of numbness on the tip of my tongue from the parasthesia. It’s almost healed—I hope. Then I just have to schedule that other crown I need …
May your last days of summer (or winter, depending your hemisphere) be filled with light, joy, and excitement for the next season right around the corner!
Take care!
