A love of getting lost in a good story and a vivid imagination fueled my dream of becoming a novelist at an early age. I love making up worlds and writing about my characters’ adventures, whether it’s in contemporary fantasy, literary fiction, or paranormal fiction.
I also enjoy writing and editing nonfiction and have a degree in journalism from The University of Alabama. That led to a career that has included writing and copy editing for national consumer magazines and a couple of world-renowned universities. (I also performed and taught belly dancing for a few years, but that is another story.)
Along the way, I’ve managed to earn a couple of awards for fiction writing. When not writing, reading, working out, or streaming movies and TV shows, I like to explore the natural world through hiking and bird watching with my husband and our dog.
